Who monitors the Medical Alarm calls?
If you choose Home Buddy for your Medical Alarm Alert System, fully trained professionals, as opposed to volunteers or emergency room personal, will monitor your calls all day and every day. Each of our monitors undergo an extensive 90-day training program which includes classroom and hands-on training as well as work with a mentor. They are required to pass a test at the end of the training period or employment is terminated. Who will the monitors send to help me?

How fast can I receive service once I decide to try your Medical Alarm Alert System?

If a stranger knocks at your door, you can press your Medical Alarm Button and our monitors will stand-by until the stranger leaves, or they can send the police. If you need to go outside to get your mail during inclement weather, you can press your Medical Alarm Button and our monitors will be happy to help you. Are there any Fall Prevention features included with the Medical Alarm Service?
Home Buddy offers what we call "Remote Answering" with our Medical Alarm Service. It is designed to keep members from rushing around the home to answer incoming phone calls. Say, for instance, you just sat down to watch television or read and your phone rings. Instead of getting up and rushing to the phone before the caller hangs up, you can remain seated. By simply pressing your Medical Alarm Personal Help Button, you will be able to speak with the caller. Can the Medical Alarm Button be worn at all times?

If an extension phone is in use or you are on the Internet, a special phone jack is needed in order to seize the phone line for your help call. If my power goes out will the Medical Alarm Unit still work?
With Home Buddy your Medical Alarm Unit will have a back-up battery which keeps the service functional during power outages.
